Redwood City July 4th Parade Overview

Spirits were high at the 80th Independence Day parade hosted by the Peninsula Celebration Association in Redwood City. Since 1939, this annual tradition aims to connect the community by celebrating the Fourth of July from home. The 1.3-mile parade took off at 10am and made its way through downtown Redwood City. The parade had about 200 groups consisting of floats, banners, horses, and bands. This year’s participants included the UC Davis California Aggie Marching Band, The Woodside Mounted Patrol, Miss California, Stanford Marching Band, along with various dance groups, and other city organizations. The annual Fourth of July Parade in downtown Redwood City, the largest Independence Day parade in Northern California, and attracts thousands of spectators every year. It brings in entries from across the state. This is a great event for friends and family to enjoy the Fourth of July spirit.
