Couple Finally Has Their First Dance After Six Years

A heartwarming video has emerged of a couple having their first dance six years after a car accident. The footage, shot in Jacksonville, USA, shows Joel and Lauren Jackson dancing together. Joel Jackson was involved in a car accident in 2009 which internally disconnected his head from his body. His wife Lauren explained on her blog that doctors left little hope to his family about his recovery but that Joel kept fighting and was eventually sent home. Years later, two years after their wedding, Joel was taking his first steps since the accident and could dance with his wife thanks to a harness. "Joel and I have had our ups and downs over the last 11 years making our way back to one another, as this was not the life anyone would have planned or expected. But with each challenge, we are offered an opportunity to share our story and the hope by which we live," Lauren wrote online. Video footage shot on 1st October 2015.
